Patricia "Patty" Ann Sherman

Patricia Ann "Patty" Sherman, age 69, passed away unexpectedly on March 20, 2026, in Elkhorn, Nebraska. Born on September 22, 1956, in Omaha, Nebraska, Patty lived a life defined by love, dedication, and resilience. A graduate of Plattsmouth High School class of 1975, Patty embarked on living a fulfilling life. Patty married John Sherman on February 18, 1983. They enjoyed 43 years of many blessings and memories together. During their marriage they were blessed with three children, Amy, Andrew and Joshua. Later in life she embraced her role as a grandmother with boundless joy and cherished her grandchildren: Sommer, Nathan, Christopher, Benjamin, and Matthew. Her family was the cornerstone of her life and brought her immeasurable happiness. Patty had a few jobs over the years one of her favorite jobs was working in the deli at Dicks Hillrise Market. After that she embarked on a career at Enfield’s Tree Service in March of 1998 where she worked for over 25 years, where her hard work and commitment left a lasting impression on her customers, colleagues and the company. Patty is survived by her husband John, children: Amy (Jason) Wickham, Andrew (Barb Hall) Sherman, and Joshua (Sam) Sherman, siblings Eddie Jackson and Debbie Jackson, grandchildren Nathan Wickham, Christopher Wickham, Benjamin Sherman, Matthew Sherman and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and inlaws. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ernestine Jackson; her sisters, Vickie Nisley and Judy Jackson; her granddaughter Sommer Wickham; and mother-in- law Susan Sherman. Despite these profound losses, Patty’s enduring spirit of love and compassion touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. In addition to spending time with her family, Patty found great joy in crocheting. Her handmade creations were a testament to her creativity and patience and have become treasured keepsakes for those who received them. Patty will be remembered for her loving nature and caring heart. Her memory will continue to bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace. Funeral services for Patty will be Tuesday, March 24 at 11 AM at Reichmuth Funeral Home, Elkhorn, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery of Elkhorn. Memorials may be made to the family.
